| CULTNAT was awarded the
Stockholm Challenge Award 2003/04 in Category Culture
for "The Archaeological Map of Egypt" and was
selected among the finalists for "Our Natural Heritage
at Risk" in 2006 .The Stockholm Challenge Award is
multiple-category award for ICT for Development projects
and is supported by the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology
(KTH). The Stockholm Challenge is a leading global awards
and networking organization in ICT dedicated to challenging
social and economic disadvantages by promoting ICT for
Development. |

| In cooperation with the
Egyptian Folk Traditions Society, CULTNAT prepared and
presented a comprehensive file to UNESCO for the inscription of Al-Sirah al-Hilaliyya (Epic) among UNESCO's Masterpieces
of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. |

| CULTNAT participated
in the World Summit Awards in November 2005 where it received
the award for for its portal Eternal Egypt that succeeded
in preserving and presenting Egypt's cultural heritage,
demonstrating valuable cultural assets using state-of-the-art technology. as the best e-content in the category of e-culture.
Eternal Egypt was chosen among 40 winners from 750 products
competing from 168 countries worldwide. |

| CULTNAT participated in the World Summit Awards in December 2003 in Geneva where it received the award for being one of the 21 Continental Best Practice Examples in the category e-cultural , specifically the project titled "CULTURAL Heritage in the Digital Age: The Egyptian Experience" which has succeeded in preserving and presenting Egypt's cultural heritage & demonstrating valuable cultural assets. |

Persian Manuscripts |

| The Memory of
the World International Register is part of UNESCO's Memory
of the World Program, which manages nominations from all
over the world of endangered archive holdings and library
collections of universal significance. In 2007, the third
Egyptian collection, the Persian Illustrated and Illuminated
Manuscripts, has been inscribed in the Register upon its
nomination by CULTNAT. |
