Salah Jahin Quatrains

On the 10th of April, CULTNAT held a symposium on the quatrains of the leading Egyptian poet, lyricist, playwright and cartoonist Salah Jahin. It was in the form of a sound recording for the late singer Sayed Mekawy and by Salah Jahin’s voice. The symposium was moderated by Dr. Ihab Samir, a physician and a poet.
Dr. Yasser ElShayeb, director of the center, stated that this symposium is a part of a series of special events run by the center to celebrate the anniversary of the late artist during April, where more than one film written by him were displayed.
It is known that the Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage assesses the salon once every month to discuss issues concerning heritage and in the presence of representatives from the ministries and government bodies and relevant NGOs to reach solutions and recommendations that will protect the Egyptian heritage and preserve it.
