H.E. The Prime Minister Visits CULTNAT


During his visit to the Smart Village on the 23rd of March, H.E. Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab, the Prime Minister, visited CULTNAT. The visit commenced with a presentation showing the center’s different projects and activities through the CULTURAMA screens. Dr. Yasser ELShayeb, the director of the center, also presented CULTNAT efforts in the field of documentation and preservation of the Egyptian heritage and the role of the government in supporting training and employment through the center’s different projects that are scattered throughout Egypt, giving special attention to the remote areas in the Sinai Peninsula, Siwa and Nubia.
This was followed by another presentation for the updates of the protocol of cooperation between the MCIT and the Ministry of Tourism with respect to “Egypt Now” project, which consists of several broadcasting cameras available in tourist sites and a mobile app titled “Egypt Travel”, that was developed by the center in six languages and applicable on Android and IOS phones. This app provides the tourist with the needed information to plan his trip to Egypt by using the mobile. It also features a live broadcast from six cameras located in Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada.
H.E. Eng. Mahlab ended his visit by watching the CULTURAMA that was set by the center in the Egyptian Cultural Office in London and a panoramic show for the most important aspects of the Egyptian heritage ranging from the prehistoric times, passing through the various stages of the Pharaonic civilization, Coptic, Islamic and even the modern era, which contributes to consolidate the information through the pictures.
